In order to read DME codes, you first must connect to your car.  Next select the tab Codes > Read DME Codes.  This will query the DME for a variety of information, including:

  • active error codes

  • software versions (current and factory OEM)

  • VIN

  • MHD information

  • battery voltage

  • ecu status

  • OBD readiness information

  • flash counter (available on F series and later)

To clear the error codes, press Clear Error Codes.  Other actions on this screen include sharing this screen’s details via email (to yourself or your tuner), and also viewing DME code history.  This is an aggregate list of error codes stored on your device each time you visit the Read DME Codes screen.  It is useful to see if you have a history of a troublesome code continuing to pop up from time to time.
