In order to reset DME adaptations, you first must connect to your car. Next select the tab Codes > Reset Adaptations. Adaptation resets should only be performed if you are troubleshooting a particular issue and you want to eliminate a learned behavior / value from the list of possible causes. The following adaptations can be reset:
Lambda sensors
Intake mass flow
Throttle: after reset, turn ignition off and then back on, wait for 30 seconds before starting the engine!
Lambda regulation (learned lambda/ltft)
Load control
HPFP system
Octane rating
VANOS
Knock regulation (learned knock control)
Idle
Register Battery (only if new battery is same size / type as previous)
NOTE: when resetting adaptations, ensure the engine remains off but ignition is on.
