In order to reset DME adaptations, you first must connect to your car.  Next select the tab Codes > Reset Adaptations.  Adaptation resets should only be performed if you are troubleshooting a particular issue and you want to eliminate a learned behavior / value from the list of possible causes.  The following adaptations can be reset:

  • Lambda sensors

  • Intake mass flow

  • Throttle: after reset, turn ignition off and then back on, wait for 30 seconds before starting the engine!

  • Lambda regulation (learned lambda/ltft)

  • Load control

  • HPFP system

  • Octane rating

  • VANOS

  • Knock regulation (learned knock control)

  • Idle

  • Register Battery (only if new battery is same size / type as previous)

NOTE: when resetting adaptations, ensure the engine remains off but ignition is on.
